Law enforcement investigates wrong-way driver, shooting

Authorities are trying to figure out what led to an overnight shooting in Columbia. At 1:14 a.m. Thursday, a witness reported that a white car crossed from the westbound lanes of I-70, over the median and into the eastbound lanes.
A deputy found damaged cables on I-70 near the 128 mile marker, but not the suspected car.
About 20 minutes later, a Boone County deputy spotted the vehicle near a local hospital. The car would not stop until it got to the emergency room.
Investigators say a wounded man drove the wrong way on the interstate and ended up at the home of a friend, who then drove him to the hospital.
The vehicle had bullet holes and investigators think the victim may have been shot while driving. They believe that happened somewhere near Jake's Bar near Clark Lane.
Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Columbia Police or Crimestoppers at 573-875-TIPS.
