Sun, 30 Jun 2013 22:31:57 GMT — A Jefferson City landmark closed down after 43 years in business.Workers at the Truman 4 Theaters on Jefferson Street showed their final feature presentations on Sunday.The owners of the movie theatre were forced out of business because they could not afford to convert to modern digital equipment.Truman 4 was one of the few theatres in the country still using actual film projectors.Moviegoers and employees said they will miss the Capital City icon.Theatre employee Kyle Pickett said, â??Iâ??m going to miss how much fun it was to work here and how easy it was to work here. Iâ??m going to miss all of the friends that I made here. I went here when I was a child. I have a lot of memories here.â??Truman 4 Theatre employees said they have heard no plans for the business to reopen under new management.
