A statewide photo contest began Monday for the 2013-2014 Official Manual, State of Missouri Blue Book.
Missouri Secretary of State Jason Kander announced the theme for this year's contest as "Remembering Harry," in honor of the only U.S. president from Missouri.
Photos will be separated into three categories. The first category, "Carry the battle to them" can be photographs of sporting events and competitions in Missouri. The second category, "The most peaceful thing in the world is plowing a field" can be photographs of Missouri agriculture and natural settings. The last category, "I donâ??t believe in little plans" can be photographs of unique celebrations and parades in Missouri.
Missouri citizens of all ages can participate and there is no limit on the amount of photos each person submits, as long as each photo is attached with its own entry form.
Entry forms and contest rules are available on the Secretary of Stateâ??s website: http://www.sos.mo.gov/photocontest. Entries may be submitted by email: firstname.lastname@example.org or by mail:
