Jefferson City Subway robbed

Update Monday 9:17pm:

Jefferson City Police say the suspect in the Subway robbery was a white man who wore a bandana over his face.

He pointed a handgun and demanded money from the clerk at the Eastland Plaza store. No one was hurt.

Here's the suspect description: White male, 5' 11'' 160 lbs, black shirt, black pants, black and white bandana

Jefferson City Police are looking for an armed robber who hit the Subway on the east side, near Gerbes and the Wal-Mart Supercenter.

It happened just before 5 p.m. Monday.

Jefferson City Police would only say it's an active crime scene.

A KRCG Facebook friend shared photos from the scene. He told us police stopped him while he was walking along the highway and questioned him about the case.
