Original Story:

Officers are searching for the suspect in an armed robbery that took place in Jefferson City Tuesday evening.

It happened around 5:30 p.m. in the 2500 block of Scenic Drive. The victim, a 58-year-old male, fled to a neighbor's home and called 911. He said a man he knew robbed him with a pistol, took cash from him and might possibly have still been in the home.

Police and K-9 units entered the home but didn't find the suspect. Dogs traced him to the 200 block of Haaf Drive when they lost the track.

The investigation is ongoing and police are working to locate the suspect. No one was hurt during the robbery.
