Jefferson City Police make additional drug arrests in "spring roundup"

The Jefferson City Police Department made additional drug arrests as part of the "spring roundup."

Along with the MUSTANG Drug Task Force, JCPD made 15 arrests, 9 of them for either possession or distribution of heroin.

Police say one of the suspects, Wayne Bush, is a suspected supplier in recent heroin overdoes. He was arrested and charged with heroin distribution. He currently in the Cole County Jail on a $250,000 bond.

Throughout the week searches were conducted by law enforcement in areas known for drug trafficking, including Americas Best Value Inn in the 1600 block of Jefferson Street.

These searches resulted in arrests for possession and distribution of controlled substances and child endangerment. Heroin, marijuana, controlled prescription drugs and a firearm were seized.
