Jefferson City police busted a burglary in progress Monday in the 400 block of East Capitol.
Tue, 07 May 2013 13:30:22 GMT — Jefferson City police busted a burglary in progress Monday.At about 5 p.m. Monday, police went to the 400 block of East Capitol for a burglary in progress call.When they got there, they saw 46-year-old Eric Brown walking with a woman outside of the residence.Police said Brown was holding a hacksaw and tire tool. They detained the couple and questioned them at the scene.The woman told police Brown convinced her to help him move things out of the residence and that Brown said he had permission to be there.While the woman was cooperative with police, Brown was not. He was arrested on charges of burglary and possession of burglary tools, and taken to the Cole County Jail pending charges.
