      Jefferson City firefighter treated for injuries

      Jefferson City crews responded to a fire at 2101 W. Main St. just before 10 p.m. Thursday.
      Jefferson City crews responded to a fire at 2101 W. Main St. just before 10 p.m. Thursday.


      A two-story garage was on fire, with heavy smoke rising from it. Firefighters had the fire under control within ten minutes.


      Investigators determined the fire's cause to be accidental, possibly a result of sparks from a welder.


      One firefighter was taken to a local hospital for a leg injury and later released.
