Mon, 19 May 2014 16:32:55 GMT — A house fire in Jefferson City is under investigation. Neighbors called 911 saying they saw smoke coming from 1112 Jobe Drive at about 9:30 a.m. Monday. When fire crews got to the scene, there was heavy smoke. It took them about 10-15 minutes to get the fire under control. A woman was treated for smoke inhalation on the scene and was taken to a local hospital. Firefighters also rescued and revived two cats from the home. The cats were then taken by animal control. Jefferson City's Interim Fire Chief Jason Turner said the bedroom areas of the home suffered severe damage. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Jefferson City Fire and Police Departments.
