JEFFERSON CITY -- It was a sweet Thursday afternoon in Jefferson City on High Street as honey dripped from a building.
The cause of the dripping honey has been blamed on a colony of bees that have taken up residence in the Old Lohman Opera House which now houses the Missouri Trucking Association.
As a result, honey dripped from near the roofline all the way to the sidewalk below. A gutter is now in place to collect the honey, so it won't hit the heads of people on the sidewalk.
Local beekeepers say the hive has been there since last year.
