Homeless man pleads guilty to deviant sex with child

30-year-old Dwayne Robison pleaded guilty Tuesday to four counts of deviant sexual intercourse with a person less than 14 years old.

A registered sex offender from Nevada will serve 15 years in prison after pleading guilty in Boone County Circuit Court Tuesday to having deviant sexual intercourse with a child under the age of 14.

Court records show that 30-year-old Dwayne Robison was scheduled for trial on the charges Wednesday.

Robison was arrested for having sex with a 13-year-old boy he met at the Wabash bus station in Columbia on August 29, 2013. Police say Robison and the boy traveled around town on a bus before getting off near Stephens Lake Park, where there is a homeless camp.

Robison then sexually assaulted the boy in a tent. Other homeless men helped identify Robison when police began investigating.

Robison pleaded guilty to four counts of statutory sodomy, deviant sexual intercourse with a person less than 14 years old. He was sentenced by Judge Gary Oxenhandler to 15 years in prison.
