      Home invaders arrested after Columbia robbery

      Pedro Ciarlini was arrested for armed criminal action, first-degree burglary, first-degree robbery and unlawful use of a weapon felony.
      Columbia police arrested three men after a home invasion robbery Wednesday morning. The robbery took place at the Greens apartment complex in the 5100 Block of Clark Lane. The victim flagged down police at about 10 a.m. after the suspects broke into his apartment, demanded money and took property. The suspects were armed. Police said at about 10:30 a.m. Charles Hayes and Cody McEachern were arrested during a traffic stop in the 1500 Block of N. Pin Oak Boulevard. Hayes, 23, was arrested for armed criminal action, first-degree burglary, first-degree robbery, unlawful use of a weapon and operating a motor vehicle on highway with a revoked or suspended license. McEachern, 21, was arrested for armed criminal action, first-degree burglary, first-degree robbery and unlawful use of a weapon. The third suspect, Pedro Ciarlini, 18, took off running during the traffic stop and threw a phone which belonged to the victim. Ciarlini was later arrested near the 4300 block of Santa Anna Drive around 5:30 Wednesday evening. Ciarlini was arrested for armed criminal action, first-degree burglary, first-degree robbery and unlawful use of a weapon felony.
