Over fifty firefighters responded to a fire at the Doolittle Trailer Company in Holts Summit around 6:00 p.m. Friday night after people living close by noticed foul smelling smoke pouring out from a large building next door.
It took firefighters about two hours to get the flames under control.
The cause of the fire is still unknown, but officials say it could have been a lot worse if it hadn't been for the neighbors nearby.
Fire crew members say no one was hurt, and that the building was closed today so no employees were inside when the building caught fire.
Doolittle employee Mark Mills told KRCG News the building is used to put finishing touches on trailers before they are sold, and that the damage will hurt business for quite some time.
