      Hit-and-run leads to minor injuries

Police are on the lookout for a person involved in a hit-and-run accident in Jefferson City Wednesday night.

Police say the accident happened around 8:30 p.m. in the 500 block of South Country Club Drive.

The unknown driver in a pick up truck made a right turn on to West Truman Boulevard and collided with another vehicle.

The driver of the struck car, 40-year-old Sheridan Bobbitt, suffered minor injuries.

Witnesses at the scene describe the driver who caused the crash as out of control and fishtailing as it made the turn.

Police say their investigation continues as they're looking for the driver who took off after causing the crash.

No other details are known about the vehicle that was used to flee the scene.
