The president of Helias Catholic High School announced he will be leaving at the end of the school year to become the principal of a Memphis, Tenn., school.

The president of Helias Catholic High School announced he will be leaving at the end of the school year to become the principal of a Memphis, Tenn., school.

Didier "Di" Aur told Diocese of Jefferson City Bishop John R. Gaydos and Helias administration and staff of his resignation within the last several days.

Aur is originally from Memphis and said his decision is "100 percent about family," since he and his wife both have family in the Memphis area. The family moved to Jefferson City from Memphis in 2006 when Aur took the job at Helias.

The search for a new president will be led by Diocese of Jefferson City Vocation Director Fr. Joseph Corel and Chancellor Sister Kathleen Wegman, SSND, who were recently announced as Interim Director of Catholic Schools and Interim Assistant Director of Catholic Schools. The school's board of directors, school board and local pastors will assist in the search.
