He told the court that he wanted to take full responsibility for the crime. It was an effort aimed at helping his wife and children who all faced charges in the killing. Chester was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. In December 2010, the oldest Harvey child Chad also pleaded guilty to the crime and was sentenced to life in prison.Ethan's younger brother Jordan was also charged as an adult. He pleaded guilty to 2 nd degree murder in April. In July, Jordan was sentenced to 15 years in prison, but was given a suspended execution of sentence, effectively keeping him out of jail as long as he does not violate his terms of probation. Angela Harvey, Ethan Harvey's mother, faces first degree murder charges, along with charges of armed criminal action and kidnapping. She will appear in court for a hearing on August 22.
