      Guilty plea in drug-trafficking conspiracy

Holloway admitted that he had been acquiring about 50 pounds of marijuana and one kilogram of cocaine each month for two years from his sources in Kansas City.

A Callaway County man has pleaded guilty to his role in a drug-trafficking conspiracy in Boone, Callaway and Cooper counties.

Today in federal court, 33 year-old Jason Randall Holloway pleaded guilty to participating in a conspiracy to distribute marijuana and cocaine from 2007 to 2010.

Holloway admitted that he had been acquiring about 50 pounds of marijuana and one kilogram of cocaine each month for two years from his sources in Kansas City.

According to today's plea agreement, Holloway stored bulk amounts of marijuana at another person's residence in Columbia.

Officers seized 117 pounds of marijuana from that residence in July 2010.

Holloway is subject to a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years in federal prison.
