Greitens expresses gratitude in Trump recognizing Jerusalem as Israel's capital
JEFFERSON CITY —
Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens released a statement Wednesday, approving of the decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
Greitens tweeted: "Just spoke to [Vice President Mike Pence] to express my congratulations and gratitude to he and [President Donald Trump] for their bold, historic decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.”
Greitens is Missouri's first Jewish governor.
The president also said the U.S. would move its embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, though he set no timetable.
