Governor Eric Greitens wants to make starting a business easier for veterans
JEFFERSON CITY —
Governor Eric Greitens said Wednesday he plans to push for legislation that could make it easier for veterans to start their own businesses.
Greitens visited a rock climbing business owned by an Army veteran in Kansas City Wednesday. At RoKC, Greitens said he wants to eliminate business startup fees for returning veterans.
A spokesperson for the governor's office said the governor will be pushing for the legislation this upcoming session.
"Our veterans have a paid a lot in blood and sweat and sacrifice," said Greitens. "They shouldn't have to pay the government to create jobs in our state."
