Fri, 28 Jun 2013 15:15:27 GMT — A Rolla woman faces felony charges after reportedly stabbing her boyfriend. On Wednesday at about 3 p.m. a Phelps County deputy went to an apartment in the 900 block of Lanning Lane for a stabbing.When he got there, he talked with the victim, Gregory Breuer, who had a cut on his chest. Bruer told the deputy he was in the bathroom and when he turned around, his girlfriend, 48-year-old Patsy Beal, stabbed him with a knife. He said Beal also scratched his face with her fingers. Bruer said Beal was intoxicated after drinking a botle of wine. While Beal was in custody, she told deputies she stabbed her boyfriend in self-defense. She said Bruer came at her with a knife and a guitar and started punching her. The deputy noted Beal didn't have any visible signs of injuries on her according to court records.During a search of the home authorities found a kitchen knife under Beal's bed which matched the description of the knife used in the attack.While Beal was in the Phelps County Jail the arresting deputy heard her say, â??I should have just killed himâ??. Beal has previously been arrested for domestic assault, but those charges were dismissed.She is charged with first-degree domestic assault resulting in serious physical injury and armed criminal action.
