A fugitive who police considered armed and dangerous is in custody in the Callaway County jail after an early-morning search of a house in Fulton.
42-year-old Vernon Dale Parker was the focus of a manhunt Saturday in Pulaski County that resulted in the arrest of three people on charges of making a homemade bomb in a house south of Laquey. Parker evaded that search.
Parker has a Callaway County Warrant for failure to register as a sex offender. He has multiple warrants from other jurisdictions for burglary and parole absconder.
At 4:00 Tuesday morning, the Fulton Police Department and the Callaway County Sheriff's Department were enlisted in the hunt for Parker, who was believed to be in the Fulton area, according to Police Chief Steve Myers.
Parker was located in a house in the 1800 block of South Business 54.
