Sun, 16 Mar 2014 01:59:29 GMT — Winter will just not go away. After experiencing very pleasant weather on Saturday, a big change is in store for Sunday. Clouds will increase Saturday night with rain showers moving into the area after midnight. The rain is stemming from an area of low pressure spinning over Texas. As a cold front dives south from Iowa, some light snow and sleet may mix with the rain at times. Temperatures will fall from the 60s Saturday evening to right around freezing by Sunday morning. As the cold air continues to flow into Mid-Missouri, we'll see the rain transition into snow and a wintry mix during the morning hours on Sunday. Temperatures will try to move into the mid 30s. Accumulations will be hard to come by initially due to the fact we've been above freezing since Thursday. As the ground cools, 1-2" of total snow may be possible, especially from Jefferson City to the south.Follow the KRCG 13 StormVision Weather Team for the latest updates.
