Fri, 06 Dec 2013 04:56:51 GMT — We'll see a few scattered flurries around mid-Missouri overnight with some areas of light snow and light accumulation around the Lake of the Ozarks area, south and east along I-44 into Southeast Missouri. Areas that see accumulation tonight can expect around 1-3 inches. The majority of the snowfall will come during the morning/early afternoon on Friday. I'm expecting the Friday morning commute to be slow going in a few spots (especially south of Jefferson City) so take it easy and give snow plows plenty of room to work. By Friday afternoon the snow will quickly come to an end and we'll see totals between 1-6 inches across mid-Missouri. The hardest hit will be areas in south and southeast Missouri where up to 10 inches is possible along with ice.Make sure you check with MoDOT for the latest on road conditions via their traveler information map. Meteorologist Jessica Quick will be live in the morning with the latest and also online. Make sure you you like her page on Facebook.
