Four injured in Jefferson City shooting

Four people are recovering after being struck by gunfire late Saturday night.

Jefferson City police say they were called to the 700 block of Madison St. around 11:46 p.m. Saturday after someone reported shots were fired in that area. When officers got there, they found someone had fired several rounds, hitting four people. Three of the victims had minor injuries and were released from the hospital. The fourth was taken to Columbia for further evaluation, but police say his injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.

Police detectives are still investigating the incident.
