Fri, 04 Oct 2013 14:58:35 GMT — A 5-year-old autistic child is safe after crossing Highway 54 in Callaway County in the middle of the night. Fulton Police officers said they got a call at about 4 a.m. Friday after the boy wandered into the Fastlane convenience store at 551 Amerihost Drive. Officers were able to identify the child through previous contact with him. While officers cared for the boy, other officers found his parents, Blain and Hollie Johnson, still asleep at the Westwood Motel. Officers determined the boy left the motel sometime after 12 a.m. and crossed Highway 54 to get to the Fastlane store. Blain Johnson was arrested for violating a full order of protection and taken to the Callaway County Jail with a bond of $4,500. Division of Family Services along with the Juvenile Office were contacted. Police said the investigation is ongoing and criminal charges are pending.
