Five arrested over six days in Maries Co.

A traffic stop in a Subway parking lot landed one in jail. At about 11:30 p.m. on July 24, 19-year-old Taylor Martinez of Belle Mo. Was arrested for drug possession and taken to the Maries County Jail.

Two days later at almost 5 in the afternoon, 37-year-old Susan Babis of Belle, Mo., who had an active felony warrant for stealing, was arrested. Babis was unable to post Bond and was taken to the Maries County Jail.

On July 28 at 11:45 p.m., a property dispute involving a vehicle took authorities to 111 West Third Street. Suspected components of a meth lab inside the vehicle were discovered, so officials searched the residence, too, finding more contraband. Richard Carbaugh, 45, of St. James, Mo., was arrested for possession with intent to manufacture a controlled substance, while Rachel Theriot, 32, of Belle, Mo, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia. Both people were transported to the Maries County Jail and held pending a warrant application.

Another drug bust occurred on July 30 at about 8 p.m. when 49-year-old Suzanne Pohlmann of Owensville, Mo., was arrested for possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop at Highway 28 near White's Trailer Park. Pohlmann was transported to the Belle Police Department where she was booked in and released with a summons.
