The Columbia Police Department working with the FBI arrested five people Friday for prostitution related charges.

Barry Paul Manthe and Ebonie Tamara Brooks-Lewis were arrested for promoting prostitution. Antionette Laray Clark and Chelsey N. Hyde were arrested for prostitution. The fifth person, Quenten Maurice Hurt was taken into custody for possession of a controlled substance and for promoting prostitution.

Court documents show that an undercover officer answered an online ad and made arrangements at the Holiday Inn in the 900 block of Port Way in Columbia.

Sgt. Robert Dochler said in a release that the investigation was part of Operation Cross Country VIII, an initiative targeting those involved in commercial child sex trafficking throughout the United States.

However no child sex victims were identified in Columbia as a result of this investigation.
