Three displaced after fire, no injuries in Jefferson City

Three people were displaced after a fire broke out at their home in Jefferson City.

According to the Jefferson City Fire Department, firefighters were dispatched to the home in the 200 block of Pine Street at around 6:15 a.m. Saturday.

When crews arrived on scene they reported heavy fire in the rear of the two-story, multi-family residence.

All residents were able to escape after being alerted by smoke alarms, and no one was injured.

Firefighters determined that the fire originated on a second floor deck in the rear of the home, and the cause was still under investigation. Damage cost was estimated at $100,000 or more.
