Mon, 24 Feb 2014 20:54:16 GMT — Sunrise Beach fire crews had their hands full with a fire that started in a pile of leaves and then spread to a home. The fire started about 12:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon at a home located at 33 Gardenia Lane. By the time fire crews arrived, the flames had spread to the roof of the home and into the attic. The difficult layout of the land forced firefighters to stretch more than 400 feet of hose down an embankment and across the yard. It took about 40 minutes to get the fire out.
