Original Story:

A Barnett family is coming to grips with the fact that they're lives have changed forever after losing three family members in a car accident Tuesday afternoon.

KRCG's Daniel Winn sat down with the family to remember the lives that were taken from them too soon.

"They're gonna be missed, she's going to be missedâ??, Brad Hartwig explained as he talked about his daughter Elisa.

We found Hartwig sitting with his granddaughter Lucy at his home in Barnett Wednesday afternoon.

He and his wife Angela are devastated after a car accident that killed his daughter Elisa Wilcox, her husband Marty, along with the couple's three year old son Marty Junior, "I didn't believe it I lost it at the time, I didn't know what to do. Its just a blessing this child is alive." Hartwig told us.

This child he's talking about is three day old Gabriel, he was also in the car and is the only survivor.

The young family just moved into a new home, and the Hartwigs say things were looking up, "they were doing wonderfully I was so proud. Marty amazed me because he had changed so much over the years and was such a protective and loving father", Angela said.

The crash happened on Highway 52 between Eldon and Tuscumbia, you can still see the tire marks where the cars came to rest.

The Highway Patrol says 19 year old Emily Frake crossed the center line and hit the couple head on.

She was flown to a Springfield Hospital with serious injuries.

Back at the Hartwigs, cars of other family members filled the driveway as they they come together to remember the family members who were lost.

Angela said, "They'll be missed very much everyday, she was my first born baby and she may have been 27 years old but I still see her as my little girl in pig tails".

The Hartwig's said they'll raise their grandson as their own, but their next concern is paying for three funerals at once, something they never imagined they would have to do.

We also spoke the mother of Marty Wilcox, Senior.

She too is devastated.

Both families say they're praying for 19 year old Emily Frake to recover from her injuries.

A memorial fund is being set up to pay for the three funerals.
