      Eleven Selected for Search Committee

Eleven people have been named to a selection committee to find a new city administration for Jefferson City. Mayor Eric Struemph made the appointments. The group will be chaired by Councilman Bob Scrivner.

Joining Scrivner on the committee will be United Way President Ann Bax, Attorney Stephanie Bell, Nimrod Chapel, Jr. of the Jefferson City NAACP, County Commissioner Marc Ellinger, Former Councilman Dan Klindt, JCPS Superintendent Dr. Brian Mitchell, Experienced City Administrator and previous Commissioner of Administration John Pelzer, Lincoln University President Dr. Kevin Rome and Chamber of Commerce President Joe Scheppers.

City staff are conducting a nationwide search for candidates to replace Nathan Nickolaus. Nickolaus was fired by the council at Monday's meeting. The committee will narrow the field to one or two candidates, who they will then recommend to the mayor.

The group expects to make recommendations to the mayor in mid-November.
