The smell of sizzling bar-be-q filled the streets of downtown Eldon on Sunday.
Members of the Eldon Firefighters Association held their annual Drive-Through Bar-Be-Q fundraiser.
The event allowed firefighters to buy additional equipment that is outside the city's normal budget.
It's the organization's largest fundraiser of the year.
Organizers said they are always overwhelmed by the response of the Eldon community.
Firefighters Association President Lt. Trapper Meadors said, "We have more and more that drive through and pick up meals. We do some deliveries to other parts of town for larger orders. We're pleased with the support this year. It's been really good, really good."
Eldon firefighters also use some of the money from their bar-be-q fundraiser to buy Christmas presents for low-income families and individuals.
