The Missouri State Board of Education is preparing to weigh the future for St. Louis County's unaccredited Normandy school district.
State education officials voted last month to dissolve the district at the end of June and replace it with the new Normandy Schools Collaborative starting July 1. The new system will be governed by a panel whose members are selected by the State Board of Education.
Several details for the system still must be worked out, and the state board was scheduled to discuss them at a meeting Monday in Jefferson City.
The Normandy district lost its state accreditation in January 2013.
