Fri, 18 Apr 2014 20:23:00 GMT — We have a beautiful weekend of weather setting up across Mid-Missouri for the upcoming Easter Holiday: Saturday: High pressure will continue to influence our weather during the on Saturday. This will provide us with ample sunshine. Couple the abundant sunshine with winds from the south at 10-15 mph, temperatures will soar into the middle 70s across central Missouri which will be well above normal. Normal temperatures this weekend would fall around 67 degrees. Weather Fact: The way we determine the average or â??normalâ?? temperature for a particular day is by looking at the temperature for the last 30 years and seeing what the average temperature is for that day. This is done in 10 year increments meaning we are currently using the 1990 through 2010 time period to determine what the normal temperature is for a particular day. Saturday Night: Clear skies will continue across the area with cool temperatures that will fall into the middle 40s by Sunday morning. Easter Sunday: The day will start off mostly sunny and temperatures will warm into the middle/upper 70s again during the afternoon. If you have any morning or afternoon activities planned, those will be good to go with very pleasant weather. However, expect increasing clouds during the afternoon and evening as a weak cold front approaches us from the west. At this point, rain and thundershower chances would not move into the area until late in the evening or overnight Sunday. The beginning of next week will start off on the wet side with showers and thunderstorms and temperatures near the 70 degree mark as that cold front moves through Mid-Missouri.
