At least two accidents in the eastbound lanes of I-70 have backed up traffic for miles east of Kingdom City.
According to eyewitnesses, a passenger vehicle ran underneath the rear of a tractor-trailer rig at the 150 mile marker, shearing the top off of the car and severely injuring the occupant.
Eyewitnesses also report an accident at the 152 mile marker, and a stalled tractor-trailer near the 156 mile marker, both of which are contributing to traffic problems. Traffic was reportedly backed up to the Kingdom City exit shortly before 5:00 this evening.
Motorists are urged to avoid the area while crews work to clear the scene.
