Driver suffers moderate injuries in crash involving semi truck

A pickup truck driver was taken to the hospital Thursday after suffering moderate injuries in a crash involving a semi truck.

Highway Patrol said Raymond Klaus, 75 of Leroy, KS, hit the rear of Rolando Rodriguez-Cambar, 49 of Las Vegas, NV, just after 4:00 p.m. on I-70 near mile marker 89. The crash report said Rodriguez-Cambar, the driver of the semi truck, was moving at a slow pace. Klaus's truck became lodged underneath the semi truck.

Rodriguez-Cambar escaped with no injuries.

Klaus was taken to University Hospital.
