Driver injured in tractor trailer rollover

The driver of a tractor trailer sustained minor injuries when the vehicle rolled over Saturday morning on an exit ramp in Jefferson City.

Police say 53-year-old Tracy Johnson was driving the tractor trailer on the ramp from eastbound Highway 54 to northbound 63 around 5:50 a.m. when the vehicle rolled over and slid off the highway.

Police say she was traveling too quickly to negotiate the curve.

The tractor trailer was hauling around 40,000 pounds of charcoal at the time.

Johnson complained of arm pain after the accident but declined medical treatment. She was wearing a seatbelt.
