The Pettis County Sheriff has identified the homicide victim found Sunday afternoon at a Pettis County trailer park south of Sedalia.
Fri, 09 May 2014 15:14:32 GMT — The Pettis County Sheriff has identified the homicide victim found Sunday afternoon at a Pettis County trailer park south of Sedalia. Detectives identified the victim as Mandy M. Black, 35, of Marshall. Pettis County Sheriff Kevin Bond said Black was identified by her tattoos. Bond said he believes the homicide happened around the first of this year. Deputies were called to Lot 19 of the Goodwill Chapel Trailer Park Sunday afternoon after workers discovered the woman's remains outside a trailer Joe Arbeiter, 65, had been living in. Later that day, investigators found more remains in a wooded area near the trailer. The body parts were found f our days after Arbeiter was arrested on attempted rape, sodomy and a number of other charges stemming from an attack on a neighbor. Authorities are still investigating the homicide and ask anyone with information on the case to call Pettis County Crime Stoppers at 660-827-TIPS or the Sheriff??s Office at 660-827-0052.
