Deputy-involved shooting sends Sedalia man to hospital
PETTIS COUNTY —
A 27-year-old Sedalia man was injured in a deputy-involved shooting approximately at 9 a.m. Saturday.
The Pettis County Sheriff's Office responded to a call on State Route U south of Sedalia when a deputy, assisted by a trooper from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, found an armed man in front of a residence.
The man fired multiple rounds and the deputy returned fire, striking the subject, according to a Pettis County Sheriff's Office release.
As a result, the man was flown by air ambulance to a Columbia hospital for treatment.
