Deputies arrest man with multiple active warrants
The Boone County Sheriff's Department arrested a man with multiple active warrants Wednesday evening in the 2100 block of Sycamore Hills Road in Columbia.
Upon arriving at the scene around 5:10 p.m., deputies saw the suspect, 44-year-old Shawn Ingram flee into a nearby wooded area. Officials with the department said Ingram was arrested with the assistance of two K-9 units shortly after.
Ingram was taken into custody for three counts of felony resisting arrest, tampering with a motor vehicle in the first degree, distribution of a controlled substance, and felony leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident. Bond was $18,500.
Ingram also had active arrest warrants for receiving stolen property with a $10,000 bond and resisting arrest with $5,000 cash bond only.
Deputies also contacted 52-year-old Gerald Summers who was at the residence along with Ingram. BCSD said Summers had a significant amount of methamphetamine on him at the time.
