Thu, 23 Jan 2014 16:02:22 GMT — Jefferson City Police said human remains found Tuesday appear to be those of a missing central Missouri man. Captain Bob Clark said the decomposing body had been at the site along Schumate Chapel Road for some time. The body was discovered Tuesday by a woman feeding stray cats in the area. They say the victim had on coveralls and was found in a tree line between parking lots for Unilever and The Church of the Nazarene. Clark said police found no evidence the victim was shot or stabbed. He said the Boone County medical examiner will work to determine the cause of death. Police have talked with family members of the missing man, but are waiting to confirm his identity before releasing a name.
