A Columbia man was arrested Sunday morning after police linked him to a home invasion robbery.
At about 1:30 a.m. Sunday, officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of Hanover Boulevard for a home invasion robbery.
Police said three black men armed with handguns, wearing hooded sweatshirts and masks broke into an apartment through the front door.
The men ransacked the apartment and stole property.
One tenant was there during the robbery but was not hurt.
Police said the apartment smelled of marijuana.
Then at about 4:00 a.m. Sunday, an officer went to the 3400-block of Range Line Street for a disturbance.
A woman told the officer 22-year-old Tre Cooper damaged her vehicle.
Tre Cooper was arrested for property damage in the second degree.
When the officer searched Cooper after the arrest, the officer found a debit card with the name of the victim from the home invasion robbery on Hanover earlier in the morning.
Cooper was arrested for robbery in the first degree and armed criminal action.
