Deadly wildfires prompt warning

The Missouri State Fire Marshall says three people have died and one has been injured after controlled burns got out of control.

Fire Marshall Randy Cole says the incidents happened in the last month.

This is the peak time for these fires.

People died in Pilot Grove, Lebanon and Broseley, Missouri. One person was injured in Greenville.

Cole warns that a fire must be kept a minimum of 75 feet from all buildings. He says never use an accelerant, do not leave a fire unattended and have water on hand

Plus, call the fire department immediately if the fire gets out of control

Negligent or careless burning could result in criminal prosecution.
