Crime Stoppers offers reward in Tre Marshall homicide case

Friends and family of Tre Marshall gathered for a vigil in McKee Park earlier this month.

Columbia Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,500 reward for information leading to an arrest in the shooting death of Treveon "Tre" Marshall.

17-year-old Marshall was fatally shot July 15 at McKee Park in Columbia.

Police are looking for possible witnesses to come forward to bring his killer to justice.

"We know there're plenty of individuals who have information and who are willing to work with police," said Dale Roberts of the Columbia Police Officers Association.

"It's not snitching when you help get a killer off the street, there's no reason not to think you're going to be next. You're protecting yourself, the safety of your family and your community when you help police officers solve these crimes, and the homicide is a crime that we absolutely want to resolve."

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 573-875-TIPS.
