Crashed car links Columbia man to two robberies

A man accused of robbing a Columbia convenience store in May has been arrested.

Columbia police said they arrested Orlando Collier on Tuesday at the Boone County Jail, where he was being held for other charges.

Officers said on May 8th, Collier and another man robbed the Eagle Stop convenience store at 1704 North Providence Road.

Police believe Collier was also involved in a robbery on May 22nd at Oak and Lincoln where a man said the 24-year-old robbed him of his electronic tablet.

The next day, Collier led police on a car chase and crashed his car.

Items in the car linked Collier to both robberies. Collier remains in the Boone County Jail charged with robbery and armed criminal action.
