      Convicted felon arrested for meth...again

      On Monday evening an officer stopped a car driven by David Rapier, 51, of Jefferson City in the 1900-block of Southridge Drive.

      A wanted felon is back behind bars after a drug bust in Jefferson City.


      On Monday evening an officer stopped a car driven by David Rapier, 51, of Jefferson City in the 1900-block of Southridge Drive.


      The K-9 unit alerted authorities of drugs in the vehicle and found a lock-box underneath the passenger seat.


      There were several bags of methamphetamine weighing about 14 grams and a digital scale inside the box.


      Rapier admitted the drugs and scale were his.


      Officers also took $1,343 in cash from Rapier.


      Rapier had two active warrants for his arrest and was driving with a revoked license.


      InJanuary, a Maries County Sheriffâ??s deputy stopped Rapier on Highway 63 near Vichy and found several bags of suspected meth, cocaine and items used to sell drugs.
