Fri, 04 Oct 2013 14:28:54 GMT — A woman from Columbia was killed in a Cooper County crash early Friday morning. At about 2:30 a.m. Heather Cole, 20, was driving east on I-70, about 10 miles west of Booneville when her car went off the left side of the road, through the median and into oncoming traffic. The Missouri State Highway Patrol said Cole's car was then hit by a tractor trailer. Cole was pronounced dead at the scene. Her passenger, Sara Buxton, 20, suffered serious injuries and was taken by helicopter to University Hospital in Columbia. The driver of the tractor trailer, Alexsandr Yefanov, 24, of North Highlands California was not injured.
