Columbia woman accused of infecting people with HIV

Woman charged with prostitution and knowgly infecting others with HIV.

A Columbia woman accused of selling herself for sex now faces charges she exposed her customers to HIV. 20 year old Antionette Laray Clark was one of five people recently arrested in a prostitution sting.

Online court records show she is charged with a felony for prostitution and knowingly infecting people withHIV.

Court documents show that an undercover officer answered an online ad and made arrangements to pay for sex at the Holiday Inn on Port Way at the Lake of the Woods.The Columbia Police Department worked with the FBI in the prostitutionarrests June 20th.

Barry Paul Manthe and Ebonie Tamara Brooks-Lewis were arrested for promoting prostitution. Clark and Chelsey N. Hyde were arrested for prostitution. The fifth person, Quenten Maurice Hurt was taken into custody for possession of a controlled substance and for promoting prostitution.

Sgt. Robert Dochler said in a release that the investigation was part of Operation Cross Country VIII, an initiative targeting those involved in commercial child sex trafficking throughout the United States.

However no child sex victims were identified in Columbia as a result of this investigation.
