Columbia police locate camper, driver from fatal hit-and-run
Police said they have found the drive and camper from a fatal pedestrian crash Saturday evening.
The Columbia Police Department stated the investigation would remain ongoing.
Officers had said 34-year-old Rocky Salvador, of Columbia, was walking near Route B in Columbia when he was struck by a vehicle. Police said he was most likely intoxicated. Salvador was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a Columbia Police Department press release.
Police believed a vehicle pulling a 24-foot white "Dutchman" camper struck the pedestrian, but were not able to locate it immediately after the incident.
