Columbia police investigate Regions Bank robbery

Columbia Police are investigating a robbery at Regions Bank on South Providence Road Saturday.

According to police, it happened at about 9:30 Saturday morning. Police were dispatched to the Regions Bank at 3111 S. Providence Road. According to police, a white male entered the bank, handed the clerk a note implying he had a weapon and demanded cash. Police said he left the bank on foot.

The suspect is described as a white male, 30 to 35 years old. He is 5'6 tall and 160 pounds with blonde hair. He was last seen wearing a tan shirt and jeans.
